Visa photos and physical exam

Today Leilani slept in until about 8:00, then breakfast buffet and a walk to get a visa photo and have the physical exam. First, we lined up to get a picture taken for her visa. Of course, as some people know, you have to show their right ear for the photo and that was a little challenge getting her to stay still for the picture, but we managed.
Then we went to the clinic for the physical. First, we went to the ear, nose and throat station. The doctor squeaked a toy to her right side and she quickly turned her head, then to the left and she followed the sound. She examiined her ears and throat and besides a little ear wax, she is fine.
The next station was the medical exam with a doctor checking her heart and lungs and general physical exam. She passed with flying colors and the doctor confirmed she has had the chicken pox, so we are free from that!
The final station was her weight and length. She weighed 8.3 kg or about 18.5 pounds with clothes and shoes on. She is just a little peanut, but totally healthy and happy.
This morning she discovered she could see us out of her peripheral vision and she turned her head one and and her eyes way over and then she would giggle loudly. She was a very good girl at the doctor's appointment.
We went on a walk to the nearby park and watched the people dancing, playing with these little weighted feather things that look like badmitton shuttlecocks. You kick them like hackysacks and it is harder than they look to keep in the air.
When we got back to our room, our adoption Barbie was waiting for us, for those who don't know, it is a specially made Barbie (blonde of course) carrying a Chinese baby. These Barbies are only made for adoptive parents staying at the White swan hotel. You can not buy this Barbie anywhere, so it is a special keepsake for Leilani.
This afternoon is a trip to the pearl market
