Easter

We had a beautiful Easter morning at church and then a lovely afternoon with the family. Leilani looked for eggs and really got the hang of finding eggs and putting them in her basket. Then, Monday morning came and as a family we made the hardest decision I have ever faced. You see, my beloved father had a massive brain bleed on March 25th. We thought he would get better, he was responding to us by squeezing my hand less than 24 hours after he fell ill. But then, he just slipped into a non-responsive state and couldn't manage to come back to us. We decided to take him off the life support as was his wish, and let him go home. I spent the last hours of his life alone with him, just me and my Dad and just 15 minutes after I left, he passed away. We are blessed that Leilani got to spend some time with him and she truly adored him. If Pop-pop was in the room, she wanted to be next to him, sit on him and giggle at him. He was a great man and I will miss him terribly!
