It is hard to capture in words what a character Leilani is. She gives spontaneous kisses and says please and thank you Mommy and Daddy. She is a bundle of energy, never seeming to run out of the love for life. She is so happy, loves to jump and dance and be the center of attention. She runs very fast, she can almost catch us already (ok we run a little slower for her). In a word, she is FUN. I cannot imagine nor remember my life before she filled it with sunshine.
All of a sudden, she started stringing her words together into sentences that we can actually understand. She’ll say “I play rabbits” meaning she wants to use the computer to move rabbits around a meadow (cute software for toddlers) “That’s funny” “Lunch: meat, cheese chips grapes” and before bed every night she sings a little song we made up with the lyrics I love Mommy, I love Daddy, I love Poppi (Grandpa) I love Grammy (Grandma), I love sister, I love Lani, I love my family! She laughs loudly and often and she watches to see if Daddy sees her dancing or jumping on the trampoline. She always looks for his approval and she loves it when he claps and cheers for her.
