Today is the one year anniversary of the day Leilani was placed into our arms and we officially became a family. In many ways, it seems like she has always been a part of our family and in other ways, it seems like we were in China yesterday. It has been a wonderful year, full of many firsts for Leilani. As I put up the Christmas tree today, it made me think about the memories we have built as a family and the many more to come. We are blessed to have her as our daughter and we are thankful for her. She lights up a room when she comes in, saying hi to everyone and dancing for joy. She blows kisses when we leave and I can see the smiles on the faces of the people as they watch her. This week as we approach Thanksgiving, we are very thankful for our beautiful, sweet, healthy and happy girl. I have no words to express my gratitute for the gift that is our Leilani.
