Well, it finally happened, a scenario no adoptive parent ever wanted to see, a mere 2 days of LID's referred. I remember very well, last March when we were LID, they only referred 3 days of LID's (5 calendar days, 3 days of LID's). Maybe there is something with the month after Chinese New Year. Whatever the reason; I can not change the process but worrying. I can not speed it up by getting angry. All I can do is leave Leilani in God's hands, where she really is anyway. It is up to Him when she is ready. We are grateful for the opportunity to adopt and pray she is well taken care of until our referral comes. I returned to work this week, many people thought we were in China picking up Leilani. I had to explain many times the referral situation. When will it happen? That was the question I answered too many times to count. According to a prediction website, we can expect a referral around February 2008...My best guess was Christmas. I do not have an answer for why we are waiting much longer than we expected, but I know it is in God's timing.
