Renewal of the 171-H

Today was the day I went to the federal building on Capital Mall in downtown Sacramento to refile our orphan petition. Our paperwork expires on August 15th, so we had to refile before that date to qualify for the fee waiver. That translates into about 950.00 savings, so the trip was definitely worth the time and inconvenience. The immigration officer was not a happy camper this morning, and I was the first fee waiver petition she had, so it was about as much fun as a root canal….Now, we just have the physicals at the doctor and the homestudy update.
