One Hundred Good Wishes Quilt

Making a "One Hundred Good Wishes" Quilt is a custom in Northern China to welcome a new baby. Traditionally, family and friends donate a piece of fabric for the quilt along with a "good wish" for the child. A piece of the chosen fabric is attached to the wish and it is put into a scrapbook. That way when the child grows up, she can see the wish for her life and the person who gave the piece of fabric. I have been collecting squares and wishes for a several months now and I have begun to sew the snowballs together for Leilani's quilt. It really helps to pass the long waiting time!
