My husband's sister, Kristi asked us if we had thought of a name for our daughter. Without any hesitation (and no previous discussions) we both said Leilani at the EXACT same moment. Kristi looked at both of us in disbelief and we were surprised too. What does it mean? I googled the name and here is the origin and meaning of our daughter's name...

Name of an Hawaiian princess. From the Hawaiian Lani meaning heavenly or of the sky and Lei meaning flower or floral. Therefore Leilani means "Heavenly Flower"
